With 34 years of film and television
broadcast experience,
Jonathan started out in the studios of Hollywood repairing lights, as luck would have it, the stage manager quits and instant promotion to stage manager. Jonathan gets offered a side gig as a lighting gaffer and quickly moved up the ladder to Director of Photography, working in the industry for Wendys, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Gallo Wines, Acura, Toyota, Mail Boxes Etc. to name a few. Around 1982 Disillusioned with Hollywood Jonathan heads south to Orange County,California and sets up shop at an new Satellite uplink facility where he performs on air switches ,CMX editing movie promos and gets into video engineering.
1984 rolls around and Jonathan gets an offer to go on the road with Tina Turner.
While touring In the those early days of concert projection, Jonathan worked as a video engineer designing and developing with Nocturne Productions, the first, flight pack video systems and projection tunnels that are now widely used throughout the world at many concert venues. Ground breaking stuff in those days!
With a background in video engineering Jonathan’s diverse perceptive of production gives him a complete understanding of what it takes to get each project he works on done to exacting standards and within budget.
Taking a break from 8 busy years of concert touring in 1991, Jonathan and partners formed World Media Television, The leading direct response producers from 1993 to 1997. Yes, Infomercials! World Media produced 30 programs and developed two of the highest grossing infomercials at that time, Murad skin care and The Stimulator, a natural pain relief product. Jonathan has extensive experience in the overall picture of direct response marketing as well as image based commercial’s.
Realizing he missed the live music environment in 1999, Jonathan returned to the concert scene and has not looked back since, Directing a variety of live concert performances for legendary and prestigious performers that reads like the who’s who of the music business!
